Our Story

Hey! It’s Josephine here and I’m the founder of Flow 2 Freedom Apparel.

My story stems from a traumatizing period leak that I experienced in grade 10 while playing in a volleyball tournament.  Yup, I was never  able to live that one down and since then, I have suffered extreme anxiety everytime Aunt Flo decides to show until designing our collection of leakproof athleisure wear.  

I’m also a firm believer of quality over quantity and that the world doesn’t need to consume more rather what we need is innovation and better solutions to existing problems.

So at Flow 2 Freedom our mission is two-fold; to give people a peace of mind, their confidence back to live a fulfilling life as well as to leave the world a better place than we found it.

We set out to create a solution by designing the best line of leakproof apparel.

At the same time, at every step, we balanced fashion, quality, sustainability, function and design.

So let’s break it down:

Problem: Your period dictates what you wear, when you can go on vacation and whether or not you need to cancel spin class.

Solution: Our collection of leakproof apparel is fashionable so you can wear them all day, everyday.  We know, when we look good, we feel good!

Problem: 1 in 3 females suffer from heavy periods and 10% of the population will experience some form of incontinence at some point of their lives.

Solution: Our line of patent pending leakproof apparel is designed to give you back your freedom to focus on living your best life and not on your period or bladder issues.

Problem: According to the Women's Sport Foundation, one third of the girls currently participating in sports will drop out by late adolescence.  Could one of the determining factors be that girls start getting their periods on average between the ages of 10 - 15 years?

Solution: Our leakproof shorts are a crowd favorite to where underneath skirts, uniforms or for gym class.

Problem: By 2020, there is going to more plastic in the sea than fish.

Solution: Our apparel is made from recycled plastic bottles and other sustainable materials which will aid in the offset of single use plastic bottles, tampons and pads and we’re only just getting started.
